The Defender

Flyers go home this week for the “We’ll Pick Up Your Leftovers” campaign. The campaign is designed to gather enough merchandise that we can have a large garage sale on May 17. Here is how the campaign works: Go to neighborhood garage sales over the next three weekends. Find some bargains. Hand a flyer to the person holding the sale. Go to the next garage sale and do the same. All it costs is gas and the money you spend on the stuff you buy. We will coordinate the merchandise pickup.

Now is the time to clean out your closets, garage, and storage shed and help your school at the same time. Don’t forget about those paperback books, video tapes, DVDs! All donations are tax deductible, so let’s fill the 10X20 warehouse that Northwest Storage donated and make May 17 a FUNdraising event!

Questions and Answers About Summer Programs

We offer three summer programs at Covenant. Click on the links below for more information:

Preschool                     Camp Adventure               Summer School

Q. If my preschool student is already enrolled, do I need to enroll him in Camp Adventure?

A. No. Camp Adventure is only for students who have graduated kindergarten through 6th grade. In fact, you do not need to do anything except register for fall. Annual fees will be assessed on August 1.

Q. If my high school student has not finished his coursework for credit, must he enroll in summer school.

A. No. He will continue the coursework where he left off in the next term he attends. Our summer school is simply another term. The concept makes sense for us because students can complete coursework at their own pace without the encumbrance of semester deadlines.
